Hoy celebramos el nacimiento de Cristina y lo que habría sido su 71º cumpleaños.

Por supuesto, nos reunimos en Nick’s Pizza, su restaurante favorito, con sus hijos y buenos amigos. La foto de atrás es una que descubrí hace poco de tu 33.º cumpleaños.

Anna presentó una hermosa tarjeta de cumpleaños hecha a mano con una historia divertida.

Aparentemente, hace unos años, tú, Anna y Walter fueron a echar un vistazo a un vivero en Seal Beach. Estaban hartos de esperar a que Anna eligiera algunas plantas, así que entraron en una sombrerería de al lado y probaron algunas de las que parecían más al estilo del Derby de Kentucky.

Las hermanas de Anna en Argentina (a quienes conociste cuando las invitaste a tomar el té de la tarde hace muchos años durante una de sus visitas a California) también te enviaron buenos deseos en tu cumpleaños:

“Anny decile a los hijos de Cristina que la recordamos mucho, y vamos a hacer una oración por ella, les mandamos un beso para ellos, y otro especial para vos de Silvia, Cristina, Daniel y Laura. Today we celebrated Cristina’s birth and what would have been her 71st birthday.

Of course, we gathered at Nick’s Pizza – her favorite restaurant – with her children and good friends. The photo in the back is one recently discovered from your 33rd birthday.

Anna presented a beautiful hand-crafted birthday card with a fun story.

Apparently a few years ago, you and Anna and Walter went browsing through a nursery in Seal Beach. You and Walter were sick of waiting for Anna to pick out some plants, so you ducked into a hat shop next door and tried some of the more Kentucky Derby-esque ones.

Anna’s sisters in Argentina (whom you met when you had them over for afternoon tea many years ago during one of their visits to California) also sent you well-wishes on your birthday:

“Anny, tell Cristina’s children that we remember her very much, and we are going to say a prayer for her. We send a kiss for them, and another special one for you from Silvia, Cristina, Daniel and Laura. […] Anya, have a good time and greetings to Cristina’s children and a big kiss for you […] I join in the greetings to Cristina and a big hug for you, Anny”
