Anyone that knew Cristina also knew her famous cheesecake. It was a fan favorite at many school events at Anoakia, Barnhart, and La Salle High School. Here now, for her friends to enjoy, is Cristina’s not-so-secret recipe.

Cheesecake Recipe

  • 3 eight-ounce packages Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese (at room temperature)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Sour cream topping:

  • 1 sixteen-ounce package sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Mix all cheesecake ingredients together well
  3. Pour blended ingredients into 13 x 9 Pyrex cake pan
  4. Bake for 50 minutes at 350F
  5. Meanwhile, mix the topping ingredients together well
  6. Remove cheesecake from oven
  7. Pour sour cream topping onto warm cheesecake carefully, so as not to allow topping to touch borders of cheesecake
  8. Bake both cheesecake and topping together for additional 10 minutes
  9. Garnish with fresh cut strawberries
