Anyone that knew Cristina also knew her famous cheesecake. It was a fan favorite at many school events at Anoakia, Barnhart, and La Salle High School. Here now, for her friends to enjoy, is Cristina’s not-so-secret recipe.
- 3 eight-ounce packages Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese (at room temperature)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Sour cream topping:
- 1 sixteen-ounce package sour cream
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Mix all cheesecake ingredients together well
- Pour blended ingredients into 13 x 9 Pyrex cake pan
- Bake for 50 minutes at 350F
- Meanwhile, mix the topping ingredients together well
- Remove cheesecake from oven
- Pour sour cream topping onto warm cheesecake carefully, so as not to allow topping to touch borders of cheesecake
- Bake both cheesecake and topping together for additional 10 minutes
- Garnish with fresh cut strawberries
