The 29th again fell on a weekend this September and so Ana and Walter O’brien invited Cristina’s children over to celebrate the Argentine tradition of a ñoquis (gnocchis) meal.

Adri and David couldn’t make it but a good friend from Cristina’s amateur-radio days made a surprise appearance: Rubens Miseta

We feasted on Ana’s delicious home-made ñoquis and Walter’s from-scratch beef empanadas. Sadly, the food was so delicious it was devoured before photos could be taken. Luckily, Rubens brought a delicious and very classic dessert “Postre Balcarce“, a heavenly mix of meringue, dulce de leche, walnuts, whipped cream and peaches (definitely not for health nuts).

We talked about great memories of Cristina and current events that she would enjoy. It’s so wonderful to continue to be surrounded by her presence via her good friends even months later.
